Traditional idea of filter media(JWWA A 103 : 2006)

Effective diameter, Uniformity coefficient, Maximum size and Minimum size are regulated by WWA A 103:2006 .
■ Diameter of media(sand) in filter layer becomes larger from upper part to down part after washing (Stratification).
■ Evaluation point is the extent of size uniformity in the diameter of 50% of sand in a whole filter layer.

A paradigm Shift of filter media

Development of new filter media using sieving technology made filter layer more uniform so that it can not also use the surface part, but also make use of whole part of a filter layer.
