These are Specialized Filter media dedicated for SIPHON TANK (NOT for Sell)
- High-performance multi-layer filter layer from a filter media manufacturer, realizing high suspended matter capturing capacity and high-flow-rate treatment-
This is a high-performance filter media developed by Nihon Genryo.
They are used for our water treatment systems SIPHON TANK and Mobile SIPHON TANK.

0.6Interceptor (Highly Effective Filter Media)

Traditional idea of filter media (JWWA A 103)
Effective Size, Uniformity Coefficient, Maximum Size and Minimum Size are regulated by JWWA A 103 standard.
Notes: Diameter of media (sand) in the filter layer becomes larger from the upper part to lower part after washing (Stratification).
Evaluation point is the extent of size uniformity in the diameter of 50% of sand in a whole filter layer.

A paradigm shift of filter media
Development of new filter media using sieving technology has made the filter layer more uniform, enabling filtering not only with the surface layer, but using the entire filtration layer.

Zebra Layer (Highly Effective Anthracite)

In current multi-layer filtration, the boundaries between the layers are neatly stratified after backwashing, and the suspended matters are only captured at two sites, i.e., the anthracite surface layer and the boundary between anthracite and filter sand, with the middle anthracite layer hardly functioning at all.
To make the anthracite function at sites other than those mentioned above and increase the suspended matter capturing capacity, we developed “Zebra Layer”, in which layers of anthracite and filter sand are formed in a zebra pattern.
By combining Zebra Layer with Interceptor, an even higher suspended matter capturing capacity can be achieved.

Features

  1. Suspended matters are scattered inside the anthracite layer
    Suspended matters that used to be concentrated at the boundary of anthracite and filter sand can be scattered inside the anthracite layer.
  2. Suspended matter capturing capacity can be increased
    By changing into Zebra Layer, the suspended matter capturing capacity can be increased to 1.78-2.67 times and 1.20-2.13 times those of pressure filtration and gravity filtration, respectively.
  3. Cost for backwash water is reduced
    Regarding wash water turbidity, a large amount of suspended matter can be discharged within a short time.
    Moreover, due to a high capturing capacity, the frequency of backwashing can be reduced, enabling downsizing of wastewater treatment equipment as well as reduction of CO₂.
  4. Treatment capacity can be increased by simply replacing the filter media
    Due to a high suspended matter capturing capacity, the treatment capacity can be increased simply by changing the filter layer configuration from the existing single-layer filter sand equipment. Changing the equipment can also realize cost reduction.
