Water Treatment System

Mobile SIPHON TANK

Mobile Water Treatment System
Mobile SIPHON TANK is a compact and unified SIPHON TANK, with piping, control panel and chemical injection pumps.

  1. Supplying Purified Drinking Water for disaster areas
When a natural disaster occurs, supplying purified drinking water becomes a major issue, because while we know that each person needs at least 3L of water/day, when household water is included, in actuality we need 300L/day.
Our original idea of “SIPHON (kneading) WASHING system” installed into “Mobile SIPHON TANK” can keep the filter media clean and get quality water constantly.Furthermore, there is no need to replace it and it can be expected to reduce maintenance costs or the amount of backwash water. This washing system exfoliates the fixation sludge of the filter media particles by kneading washing action and rinses only muddy water out from the filtration tank. In any situation, Mobile SIPHON TANK provides purified water by applying the right kind of filter media. Since this Mobile SIPHON TANK is compact enough to be mounted on a truck, it is possible to treat bulk volumes of water and has many valuable merits compared to other filter elements. We guarantee safe, reliable, and good qual using this truck-mounted “Mobile SIPHON TANK” in any disaster damaged areas.
  2. Mobile SIPHON TANK for areas with lack of infrastructure
Mobile SIPHON TANK would be mounted on a relatively small truck to take to the use area, set on the ground or on the truck bed, and easily connected to pumps with pipes. Additionally, operation is automatic using the control panel, so you just push one button to operate it. What is more important than anything else is that “Mobile SIPHON TANK” does not need the media to be replaced on site. On site, replacement of filter media takes time, and is a time-saving arrangement.
We recommend using Mobile SIPHON TANK as a movable water purifier unit in developing areas by mounting it on a truck.
  3. Mobile SIPHON TANK with civil work
Wastewater treatment on civil work sites puts extreme load on filter media. As a result, we have to do a lot of additional work and expend additional costs. However our sophisticated product, Mobile SIPHON TANK, can help. Filter media is always kept clean due to the kneading washing action of our original washing system which is installed into the tank. From this incredible washing action, we are able to avoid fixation from filter media a and provide stable treated water any time. Therefore, we can reduce maintenance costs significantly.
Furthermore, as this tank is compact in design, it’s easy to transport by mounting on a truck, as well as to handle and operate in any civil work sites.

Features

  1.  Providing stable quality water constantly
Our original innovative kneading washing principle, “SIPHON WASHING system” put into this device, Mobile SIPHON TANK, successfully prevents fixation of the filter media and can always keep clean and produce stable treated water.
  2. Compact design
We unified all facilities such as filtration device, cartridge, front piping, control panel, PAC (Poly Aluminum Chloride) as a unit.
  3. No Required Replace Filter Media
Since filter media are always kept clean, the media replacement is not necessary. Therefore, there is no need to dispose used filter media as industrial waste and significantly contribute to environmental problems and response to ISO 14000.
  4. Backwash water can be significantly reduced
Since Mobile SIPHON TANK exfoliates hard adhering suspended substances via the SIPHON WASHING system, the backwashing is only for rinsing away of the suspended substances. Therefore, the Mobile SIPHON TANK can reduce the amount of backwashing water in comparison with the conventional filter tanks.

Actual Example(Natural Disaster)

No. 1

For Washing Water
Miyazaki city, Miyazaki prefecture in September, 2005
Water purification plant
A huge typhoon hit the Kyushu region and the Oyodo River overflowed due to heavy rain in 2005. At that time, the water purification plant in Miyazaki prefecture didn’t work and 30,000 houses lost their water supply. For the first step, we needed purified water for cleaning the water purification plant facility which was covered in muddy sludge. Our Mobile SIPHON TANK solved this problem as a water purification device. We used contaminated water as untreated water and produced washing water using Mobile SIPHON TANK.

No. 2

For Washing Water
Oshu city, Iwate prefecture on14th, June 14th, 2008
Water purification plant
Part of the northern area of Japan, Iwate and Miyagi prefectures were hit by a devastating earthquake of magnitude 7.2 and it caused the collapse of Kitamata Water Purification Plant and the suspension of the water supply for 1,420 houses.
As we received a request from the water purification department of Oshu city, we took a Mobile SIPHON TANK mounted on a truck and set up on site as a water purifier plant. After five days of working operations, we managed to achieve turbidity of 0.1 degree which is regulated by JWWA (Japan Water Works Association) and supplied drinking water for the houses.

No. 3

For Washing Water
Kuji city, Iwate prefecture in July, 2008
Water Purification Plant

A magnitude 6.8 earthquake hit Aomori and Iwate prefectures located in the northern area of Japan, damaging the a water purification plant facility.
The facility was not able to provide running water by only using its disinfectant process due to high Manganese consistency. At that time, we took Mobile SIPHON TANK (MST-1600) mounted on a truck and set up the Mobile SIPHON TANK at Pond at the request of the water purification department of Kuji city. Through our routine experiments and knowledge, we succeeded in producing quality water in just two days, and we supplied running water through a rapid recovery operation, clearing the regulation for turbidity of under 0.1 degree.

No. 4

Daanbantayan, Cebu, Philippines in 2013
Water Purification Plant

A huge typhoon, “Yolanda”, hit the Philippines in November 2013. We dispatched seven people for an emergency water supply support team to the disaster area and installed the water purification device “Mobile SIPHON TANK” at the request of JICA (Japan International Cooperation Agency). We started supplying drinking water for 4,000 households (20,000 people) there from December 28th, 2013. We also conducted a trial run and training for local government staff.

Case Study of Civil Work

Anan City, Tokushima prefecture in February 2006
Wastewater treatment at civil work site
Mobile SIPHON TANK (MST-1600) achieved improved water quality to regulatory levels from a high turbidity level of water in order to discharge wastewater into the river from the construction work site.
